TEMPLE EMANUEL OF BEVERLY HILLS DRIVE

In november 2017, Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills announced its participation in The Big Fill, a drive to collect medical and other essential supplies to be shipped to Syria. under the temple's leadership, 12 other interfaith organizations joined the efforts. on april 2018, 100+ volunteers sorted and packed 120 boxes filled with 2.5 tons of clothes, baby supplies, food and toys.

additional donations came in from young boys and girls who decided to make save the syrian children their bar and bat mitzvah projects, a tradition that marks this important event with an act of kindness. zack rosenberg, 13 years old, collected 1,752 pairs of socks to help those displaced inside syria by the war.

Congregation Kol Ami & the Center for Spiritual Living, inspired by the big fill efforts, joined the drive and put together Over 1,000 pounds of clothing (55 boxes), medical aid and food supplies for those in syria.

through the efforts of these organizations and their members, west coast hospitals became aware of save the syrian children's mission and added to the shipment by generously donating 41 large pallets of essential medical aid and hygene kits.
